Atherton Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course nestled at the foot of the hills of a national park on the western edge of town.
Located 700 metres above sea level, and a pleasant drive of 75 minutes from Cairns, Atherton Golf Club invites you to beat the heat and play a comfortable round or two on the naturally air-conditioned Tablelands.
The Atherton course is challenging with a thoughtful mix of par threes, fours and fives with lakes and bunkers to negotiate along the way.
The clubhouse boasts a licensed bar, which is open seven days, and there is also a golf shop where balls, tees, gloves, etc. are available for purchase. The clubhouse is also available for functions at a very competitive rate.
Golf clubs can be rented by those who are travelling light, and buggies and carts are also available. The club house boasts a bar and a basic golf shop with balls, tees, gloves, etc available for purchase.
Competitions are played on Saturdays and Sundays for all golfers and on Wednesdays for men and Thursdays for ladies.
More information on visiting the Atherton Golf Club is available on the visitors’ pages, and full information about the golf course is available under the Course pages.
Please feel free to have a good look around the site to find out everything we can tell you on a web site about the club. The one thing we can’t do on a web site is give you the experience of playing here. But you’ll have a warm welcome when you come!
Please note that members and visitors are expected to wear neat casual attire both on the course and in the clubhouse.
